How to apply concealer for beginners?
Applying concealer properly is easily achievable for makeup experts and novices alike. Simply swipe or dot the concealer underneath your eyes and then gently blend out the product towards your cheekbones using either your fingers or a brush.
What colour concealer to use is a question commonly asked by those who are new to wearing concealer. Concealer should be colour matched to your skin tone, just like foundation. If you are unsure of what colour suits your skin chat with one of our Bobbi Brown experts!
Where to put concealer?
Concealer is most commonly used underneath the eyes to conceal any discolouration and dark circles, but can also be used to conceal any blemishes or marks elsewhere on your face.
How to use colour corrector?
Simply apply the Corrector underneath your eyes and up into the eye’s inner corner and then gently blend using your fingertips or a brush. Once the corrector is properly blended in, you can bring the area back to your natural skin-tone shade with concealer and/or foundation. Wearing a corrector underneath concealer will allow you to achieve the ultimate, flawless-looking skin.
How to hide dark circles under eyes?
If you struggle with natural dark circles or dullness under your eyes, you can easily counteract this with Bobbi Brown’s Corrector. If you’re unsure what colour corrector to use for dark circles, use a peach colour corrector shade for green & brown discolouration and a bisque colour corrector shade for blue & purple discolouration.
What is the difference between concealer and corrector?
While it may sound strange, colour correctors are colours that are not skin tone correct - they are instead designed to neutralise the opposing colours you see under the eyes and in the skin. Whereas a concealer is a skin tone correct shade that brings any correctors you apply back to a skin-true shade for maximum coverage of dark circles.
How to choose the right Colour Corrector?
Choosing a colour corrector can be difficult, but we've here to help. Firstly, take a look in the mirror and work out what dark circle colours are presenting that need correcting. Our Bisque range works to brighten blues and purples under the eyes whereas our Peach range brightens greens and browns under the eyes. However, for extreme under-eye darkness, you should opt for the opposing corrector shade. Therefore use Bisque to neutralise extreme greens/browns and Peach to neutralise extreme blues/purples under the eye.
